This year’s FM Industry Ball raised £31,204 for the Motor Neurone Disease Association charity. The glittering black tie event, held at the Grand Connaught Rooms in London, included a performance from a live 10-piece soul and jazz band from Ronnie Scott’s and an energetic routine from West End Kids. Lucy Hawking, daughter of Stephen Hawking, the theoretical physicist who suffers from motor neurone disease, gave an emotional speech where she talked about what it was like living with someone with the condition. Now in its third year, the event is a fixture in the FM calendar.
The Magenta team had a table at the ball, and Magenta’s MD Cathy Hayward, who was on the organising committee, helped to present the cheque to the MDNA. Magenta also donated a weekend in Brighton to the charity auction which was won by Business Moves Group.
