Cathy Hayward, Magenta’s MD, is to speak at the BIFM conference and exhibition in Scotland on the subject of how facilities professionals can best engage their internal customers.
From posters explaining why the loo or car park is out of order to emails detailing the plan for the office relocation, facilities professionals spend a great deal of time communicating with their internal customers. But do they connect with people, and successfully influence their behaviour or are they just seen as preaching with their emails quickly deleted, or signs ignored?
Cathy’s entertaining, interactive session will explain how to truly engage with customers, communicating in the right way, at the right time with the right tools whatever the budget. Cathy is on stage from 12.30pm.
Cathy launched and edited FM World magazine for seven years before setting up Magenta, a communications consultancy for the facilities management and workplace sector.
“I’m delighted to be presenting at this year’s BIFM conference and exhibition in Edinburgh,” Cathy said. “I’ll be looking at how facilities professionals communicate to their internal customers. The number one way is through internal signage and my presentation contains some rather entertaining examples of dos and don’ts that I hope everyone will enjoy and learn from.”
The BIFM conference and exhibition takes place on Thursday, 10th October 2013 at the Thistle Suite at Murrayfield Stadium in Edinburgh, EH12 5PJ
