Magenta has been shortlisted for:
- Best Use of Content for our response to the Covid-19 pandemic
- Best Use of Media Relations for our campaign about security officer deaths during Covid
Best Use of Content
Our response to the Covid-19 pandemic through a series of guides and webinars caught the eyes of the judges.
Uncertainty has been rife throughout the pandemic among both our team and our client-base. Our objective was to reassure the team that they were not alone, and that we would support them come what may. We understood that our clients’ leadership teams would feel anxious about communicating such enormous changes. We committed to supporting our clients – and the wider built environment community – with a series of supportive webinars and guides for as long as the pandemic lasted.
These included ‘Communicating with furloughed employees’, which ran from April 2020 – August 2020 with an average of 40 attendees, and ‘How to be super effective on a video call’, held with public speaking expert Dannie-Lu Carr.
Best Use of Media Relations
Our thought-provoking campaign around a Covid-19 security officer deaths report and the impact it had on the sector was shortlisted for the Best Use of Media Relations. Our client, Corps Security, wanted to get to the heart of exactly what makes the security industry so vulnerable. This would allow them to take every measure possible to minimise this risk.
Corps Security took immediate action to protect officers at the outbreak of the pandemic. However, to take the best action possible in the longer term, it commissioned its own report to understand the data and to guide its own measures. At one point, the rate of deaths for male security officers was at high as 74 per 100,000. We launched a campaign to find out why security officers were so affected and share our findings with the industry so others could also protect their teams.
The 2021 CIPR PRide Awards South of England and Channel Islands ceremony takes place virtually on Wednesday 6th October.
