12 Nov 2014 – Magenta is delighted to announce that Servest’s Operations Director of Catering David Griffiths has won the Lifetime Achievement Award at the annual FSM Awards for his lifetime dedication to the UK’s contract catering sector.
Griffiths got a standing ovation from his peers when he collected his Lifetime Achievement Award at the glittering fourth annual FSM Awards ceremony held last night at the at the Lancaster Hotel in London.
“Huge congratulations to David for winning the FSM Lifetime Achievement Award,” said Magenta’s MD Cathy Hayward. “It’s very well deserved given David’s commitment to the catering industry and to Servest.”
Starting as a trainee chef more than 30 years ago, Griffiths has dedicated his life to the foodservice industry and to ensuring his clients get the best service. As a member of the board of 7 Day Catering, Griffiths led, developed and shaped the company up to and beyond its acquisition by Servest in January 2013.
“I’m really delighted and honoured to be recognised by the FSM Awards and would like to thank FSM for the award and my peers for such a wonderful reception,” said David Griffiths, Operations Director of Catering at Servest. “Since I started out in the industry more than 30 years ago, food and catering has been my passion. I plan to continue to work hard to exceed customer expectations, to develop the people around me and to have a lot of fun in the process.”
This year’s FSM Awards ceremony, organised by FSM Magazine, was attended by more than 400 of the contract catering elite celebrating the talent of the sector. Awards were presented in 15 categories. Congratulations also to Servest’s Managing Director of Catering Henry Watts who was nominated for the Senior Executive Award and Yvonne Adams, Catering Manager, who was nominated for the Business and Industry Award.
Magenta has worked with Servest on a retainer basis on a range of PR activities since 2011.
