Magenta client JLL Integrated Facilities Management, working across Europe, India, the Middle East and Africa, was highly commended in the FM Team of the Year category at this year’s prestigious British Institute of Facilities Management (BIFM) Awards.
The announcement was made on 12 October at a glittering awards ceremony at London’s Grosvenor House Hotel in front of more than 1,200 of the industry’s leading figures. The team was up against some stiff competition including Nationwide and Carillion, Edinburgh Napier University, ISS Education, and the Wales Millennium Centre.
Over the past 12 years, the JLL team has developed a vested and aligned outsourcing relationship with its client, a world leading consumer products company. Truly unique to the industry, this relationship has created a long-term win-win partnership focused on outcomes and real results instead of simply transactions. The relationship covers more than 17 million square feet in more than 40 countries.
Today, as part of a contract that expanded the risk/reward proposition, JLL has greater accountability for the client’s facilities and real estate services than ever before, allowing the client to focus on its core business. The overriding aim is for facilities and real estate to be a competitive advantage for the client.
“Our partnership with our client is exceptional in the industry,” said account manager Ben Tindale. “Our strategies are truly aligned. Because innovation, productivity and sustainability are top priorities for the client’s core business, they’re also top priorities for us. Over the past few years, the team has invested time and resources in these three areas, in addition to essential areas such as talent management, and the hard work has been paying off. We are absolutely thrilled to have our leading work recognised by this award.”
“I am very proud of the team. Over more than a decade they have worked side by side with the client to develop a true partnership approach to outsourcing. Not only does the client see real value being delivered throughout the account, but some of the outputs have proven to be game changers within the FM and real estate industry” said Magnus Akerberg, Managing Director, EMEA IFM at JLL.
“I’m thrilled that such a worthy project was recognised in the BIFM Awards,” added Magenta MD Cathy Hayward. “It was a pleasure working with the JLL team.”
