Magenta was shortlisted for and attended not one but two award ceremonies on Thursday 24th June. Held virtually, the Magenta team in attendance ensured plenty of bubbly was to hand at M-Towers for some welcome celebrations with fellow nominees and sponsors.
Property Marketing Awards
Firstly, we were shortlisted for the Best Use of PR (including social media) at the 2021 Property Marketing Awards (PMA). Professional services and investment management giant, Colliers, took home the honours for its campaign on business rates during the pandemic. In fact, the Colliers’ entry also claimed the ‘Grand Prix’ award as the overall winner at the 2021 PMAs. A huge congratulations to them and their communications team.
The event was held via Zoom and saw attendees placed in well-organised breakout rooms to network prior to and post-awards. It was great to connect with new people and discuss how they have fared throughout the pandemic. The event itself was hosted by former BBC News presenter and journalist Daisy McAndrew.
The annual PMAs is a not-for-profit event and is judged by an independent panel of leading marketing professionals. They are organised by industry body the Chartered Surveyors’ Company and property trade title Estates Gazette.
Brighton & Hove Business Awards
Magenta was also one of four finalists shortlisted for the Employer of the Year Award at the 2021 Brighton & Hove Business Awards (BAHBAs), which took place immediately after the PMAs. Rocketmill, a local digital marketing agency, scooped the award; well done to them and their team. This was the 15th annual BAHBAs, which enables businesses of all sizes and sectors to showcase their accomplishments and network with other successful, local organisations.
The slick production of the BAHBAs was done via an hour-long pre-recorded news bulletin format. Newsreader, TV presenter, and journalist, Natasha Margaret Kaplinsky OBE presented the sponsors who in turn announced the winners. The winners received their awards via a pre-recorded video in various attractions across the city such as the Palace Pier, The Grand Hotel, and the i360.
Whilst we left empty handed, we remain absolutely thrilled to have been shortlisted for two prestigious awards. Congratulations to all winners and nominees! It’s been a turbulent year for us all, but it is wonderful that we can still celebrate our achievements together in one way or another.
